I'm always interested in and tempted by bits of paper lying on the ground, and somewhere in london I picked up an A4 colour leaflet advertising John Wayne videos for Woolworths. There was something beautiful and dreadful about the repainted images, which appeared more or less in these four consecutive frames, and I was struck that the movie titles had slightly Irish overtones; Cahill.., Brannigan, Green Berets etc.

I had recently taken a lot of 6x6 b&w photos of streetscapes and lanscapes around Newry for use in montages, and the contact sheets were just the right size for these images, mixed with what are definitely John Hinde sunsets, from the cards which are split into four little scenes.
