Some of these pictures, which are nearly all titled as series, were in fact named or numbered some time after being made, and rather than working from the titles I was following general ideas. There are a few for instance of the dead walking, using (what I considered) beautiful images of corpses brought back to confront the warlike.

The others were eventually titled 'Meeting The Dead', (and none have made it to this website, I notice) but this one is a crossover as I was also making these 'Sunset' pictures in pastiche of touristy ones, I've no idea where this particular sunset comes from but could well be Hinde.

Anyway, the policeman and Landrover were photographed, I remember, at a 'H-Block' march in Newry, which makes it early '80s, but the next few frames on that roll of film show a lens stuck out of the Landrover photographing me back.
