Gagarin #11 1992, 23 x 20 cm |

The picture is perhaps a sort of neurotic expression of paranoia, the homely bobbies from a LadyBird book receiving some 'intelligence', perhaps, and the SAS man on the ground keeping me in his sights. In case you didn't know, N. Ireland, and South Armagh,
my home area have been under extraordinary levels of surveillance, and
the level and amount of information gathered by the security forces (and
probably all parties to the conflict) was and probably is beyond imagination.
For example, years ago people would be stopped in the street and surprised
to be told by the soldiers details of their homes, down to the wallpaper,
just I suppose to show who was in charge. |
